Book Review "SUFI COMICS RUMI: Volume 2"

 

I love reading Sufi books. Rumi's poem and Ibn Ataillah book has never ceased teaching me about life. However sometimes reading such book is quite challenging for its deep meaning and sophisticated words. However Sufi Comics is something else. I enjoy reading it very well.

 

Sufi comics, both Volume 1 and 2, are rare comics books presenting deep thought and endless lesson learnt with classical reference to Islam, encapsulating a long tradition of Sufism captured within modern comics. 

The story of the comics present us an endless moral values that we can use and share with everyone regardless different cultures, religions, ideologies we have possessed. Every page of the books was also decorated with colorful and beautiful seamless border. Despite the theme and topics in the books is deep, the language used is simple yet represent deep and enlightening.

I once read out-loud the first volume for a my friend’s son, he looked so captivated by the simple story yet many lessons.

This second and the first volume of Sufi comics are the comic books that i read and will read many times in the future. And each time i read, I learn a new lessons to improve my self.  This is not only suitable for adults but also for children.
